Le Comptoir General

Hidden in a Parisian alleyway in the hip Canal St Martin neighborhood,  le Comptoir General has everything you’re looking for! If you’re looking for a conceptual bar/coffee shop/restaurant that hosts a tiki bar, dance floor, and a stuffed animal zoo. Did we mention it’s also part vintage store? This unique establishment is a real cultural center, mixing all of the influences you have in Paris: French, African, Caribbean, West Indian and North African. It’s the Francophone world and culture gathered under one roof.

The restaurant serves small dishes of street food you would find in Vietnam, Kinshasa or Pondicherry. On Sundays, it’s kid friendly! And it transforms into a daycare and school where children can participate in the African oral tradition of story-telling.
